So here am I...
after years of contemplation (read laziness) I have taken my baby steps towards blogging.
I can say that i had a lot of thoughts to express and share... but thanks to lack of effort, they all passed me.. :(
I today stand on an important junction of my life where there is lots to do and achieve and I shall share sunshine and the rainy days i go though the journey of life.
My endeavor shall be to be tenacious in trying situations and compassionate in moments of joy.
So lets get started...
here we go.. :)

Slumdog Attitude
I read an interesting review about Slumdog millionaire by one of the self professed luminaries of modern India - Arindam Choudhary.
Mr. choudhary has called the movie a mockery of the growing Indian might in the world, and how the "white skin" is trying to mock India for the pleasure of the first World. He also has somehow tried to establish a connection between the Indian supremacy at miss universe and miss world paegents with the business development designs of western world.
While I do agree with him, that certain tactical sabotage is present, but then there is this line in the article which talks about how the movie is a kind of last ditch attempt to tarnish India Inc image and hence the movie showing all the gory and the shit.
Well c'mon Arindam. Be a man. Isn't it true that, all that was shown in the movie does happen in our so called evolved society. Prostitution , poverty, underworld child labour are all current relevant issues that plague the society today.
By just showing the truth, I dont think that India Inc will lose business. Rather by accepting the facts and addressing the problems on hand will even add more sheen to the Indian might.
For a matter of fact, every city in the united states has such areas where poverty runs amock and is followed by the above mentioned problems.
Smart Public Relations and Advertising can help generate buzz... but to deliver the goods the core has to strong and India has that intact and growing.
What is also very interesting is the hypocrisy that Mr. Arindam himself pursues. The famous IIPM itself relies on these smart PR tactics. Running full page advert's doesnt make you the best in India. I dont remember any such adverts from say an IIM or an XLRI or a JBIMS. What is even intresting in the adverts by IIPM is the strategic and eye catching "2 FREE STUDY Tours to USA / Europe".
Common man.... you are not in the travel buisness.
It is the core values that has made India today what it is and it continues to be strong. Yes PR helps and so does advertising. But they are derivatives of the core.....
They are not the core themselves.
